Learning to play an instrument can have a profound, positive impact on a child, teaching valuable life skills and boosting confidence. Bringing Music to Life collects, repairs, and distributes gently-used instruments used in band, orchestra, mariachi, guitar, and modern band school music programs and awards them to Title I and under-resourced school music programs across Colorado.
Over the past 16 years, Bringing Music to Life has distributed more than 10,000 instruments to 380 schools across Colorado, impacting over 30,000 students. Our program has helped schools save more than $12,000,000 if they had to buy the instruments themselves. By partnering with teachers, school districts, and instrument repair shops, Bringing Music to Life helps expand access to music education by overcoming the significant barrier of obtaining a musical instrument.
